A recipe I often use: 1.5 gallons water, 1.25 cups Dawn Ultra soap, 2 tsp baking powder, 0.5 tsp J-lube.

I highly recommend checking out the many recipes and tips on the Soap Bubble Wiki (hint: you need to make a slurry of the J-lube and isopropyl alcohol).

An easy method is to use Bubblething Big Bubble Mix, which is what I used before I discovered the recipes on the wiki. It is available various places online.
