Tyla Taylor grew up in Mesquite, Texas, surrounded by musical influences from her parents and older brother. She began performing at a young age, mimicking albums on a turntable with her jump rope as a microphone. At 22, she met Robert Lee Kobb who taught her the basics of live performance, launching her local music career. Her hope is to connect emotionally with listeners through her music.
