Warren Hood, a multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter from Austin, Texas, began his musical journey at age 11 in the school orchestra before studying privately with renowned violin teacher Bill Dick. He won classical music competitions and performed as a soloist on "Lalo Symphonie Espagnole" with the Austin Symphony. Hood's unique style of playing evolved from combining classical studies with the sounds he heard from his father, Champ Hood, who played fiddle and guitar in various genres. His band, The Warren Hood Band, plays a mix of their own songs, classic country, blues, and Texas roots music at ABGB every week.
